TCA statement on the Tour de Romandie and a bit of cycling history.
ASO and Cor Vos
Good day, and thank you for opening this week’s newsletter! What was supposed to be a quiet weekend in women’s cycling, with only a three-day stage race to keep us all occupied, turned into an ongoing conversation about rider safety, the overall power of the UCI, Velon, and a handful of other things to boot. It was a wild weekend, with both sides taking aim at each other and no one looking too good. With the UCI dropping new rules willy-nilly, the conversation won’t stop at GPS-gate, and there’s no telling how this will continue to play out.
Five teams disqualified from Tour de Romandie Féminin hours before stage 1 start
Lidl-Trek, Visma-Lease a Bike, and Canyon-SRAM zondacrypto among teams kicked out of the race.
First things first
Transfer season is upon us, and there won’t be major moves like we saw going into the 2025 season with Demi Vollering, Elisa Longo Borghini, etc., but already there are two transfers worth keeping track of.
