A burst water pipe has closed a Winnipeg library.
Munroe Library at 489 London Street is closed for the next few weeks to repair damage caused by a burst water pipe above the washroom area.
While water damage was limited to the washroom and nearby area, crews will need to remove the affected materials and ensure it is dry.
Insulation and drywall will be replaced before the area is repainted and the carpet is cleaned.
The Library is expected to reopen in mid-to-late August.
For customers who had materials on hold at the Munroe Library, they can be picked up at Henderson Library at 1-1050 Henderson Highway. Any borrowed items can be returned to another library branch or the after-hours return at Munroe Library.
