2026 is still going–don’t worry, theres lots of season left!–but 2027 will be here before you know it. And speaking of next year, on Friday Cycling Canada has released its 2027 Canadian Championships calendar. The cycling federation announced there are national titles set to be contested across eight disciplines from January through October.

The schedule includes championship events in track, esports, gravel, road, BMX, mountain bike and cyclo-cross, with races spread across six provinces.

National track champs return to Bromont, then Edmonton

The season opens Jan. 8-10 in Bromont, Que., where the Centre National de cyclisme de Bromont will host the elite, masters and para track championships. Edmonton follows in April with the under-17 and junior track championships, marking the second national championship event at the city’s new velodrome.

Esports nationals return to a basement near you

The Canadian esports championships return to Zwift on Feb. 20.

Gravel nationals

The gravel nationals are returning to Duncan, BC from June 12–13. This year’s edition didn’t exactly go to plan, so fingers crossed for 2027’s races. It will be once again organized by Panache Cycling Sports Ltd.

Road nats

Speaking of returning, the road nationals will once again head to Saint-Georges, Que., from June 25-28 for the elite, junior and para championships. The Beauce region has hosted Canadian road championships for decades and returned to the calendar this year. The masters road nationals will be held in Calgary from July 31 to Aug. 2.

BMX

The 2027 BMX racing nationals are scheduled for Haut-Richelieu, Que., on July 3-4, while Bromont will host the Canadian Freestyle BMX Championships on Sept. 24.

MTB championships

Mountain bike riders will have several championship weekends. Mont-Sainte-Anne, Que., hosts the cross-country Olympic (XCO) and short-track (XCC) championships from July 15-18, while Sun Peaks, B.C., stages the downhill championships on July 17-18. The marathon mountain bike championships head to Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., on Sept. 11, with the enduro championships planned for Sept. 18-19 at a venue that has yet to be announced.

‘Cross will be coming, too

The 2027 championship season wraps up with the Canadian cyclocross Championships in Holmgren county–Oro-Medonte, Ont., from Oct. 29-31.
Cycling Canada said additional event information, including technical guides and registration details, will be released closer to each championship.
