The towers of Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville area now rival those of the financial core for height, with One Bloor West, while still under construction, now the tallest building in the country. In the distance, Lake Ontario doesn’t shimmer, owing to the particulate in the air from wildfires across northern Canada, the result of a large percentage of the planet’s population that just isn’t motivated by anything other than their own myopic desires.
