The summer concert series is taking place at the AlgomaTrad Centre on St. Joseph Island
AlgomaTrad continues its summer concert series next week with an eclectic blend of live music.
The lineup includes fiddler Shane Cook performing with folk and bluegrass duo The Schotts and special guest pianist and piper Arlo Quilley.
The event takes place at the AlgomaTrad Centre on July 29 at 7 p.m., according to a news release.
“A Canadian Grand Master and U.S. national fiddle champion, Shane Cook is a multi-instrumentalist, renowned for his mastery of the old-time tradition, who captivates audiences with technically thrilling and adventurous performances,” AlgomaTrad said in the release.
“He will be joined by folk/bluegrass duo The Schotts, known for their beautiful harmonies and world-class musicianship and Arlo Quilley, a multi-instrumentalist on piano, Irish and Northumbrian pipes, Irish whistle, and guitar.”
Music at AlgomaTrad continues at the 23rd Annual Algoma Traditional Music, Dance and Heritage Arts Family Camp with its annual staff concert, featuring nationally and internationally recognized performers from across Canada and beyond.
The event is scheduled for Aug. 12 at 7:00pm at the AlgomaTrad Centre.
Attendees are asked to bring a chair or blanket for the event. Parking is available off of 5th Side Rd., according to the organizers.
Tickets for both shows are $35 general admission, $30 for seniors, $25 for students and $10 for children ages six to 10.
Children ages five and under are free or on a pay-what-you-can basis.
