Several homes in a Mississauga neighbourhood were evacuated Saturday evening as firefighters responded to an active house fire, Peel Regional Police said.
Police said the fire was reported near Ruperts Gate Drive and Russell View Road.
As of 9:45 p.m., no injuries had been reported.
In a post on social media platform X, Peel police said surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution while emergency crews worked at the scene.
Several roads were closed, including Glen Erin Drive at Middlebury Drive and Ruperts Gate Drive at Russell View Road.
Police urged motorists to avoid the area.
