Ottawa OPP have arrested a 33-year-old male from Ottawa with multiple driving-related charges, including impaired and stunt driving, following an incident Saturday morning.
The incident in question occurred shortly before 4:00 a.m. on July 25 on Highway 417. Police stopped the suspect’s vehicle after the man was clocked driving 181km/h.
The 33-year-old has been arrested for the following charges:
Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Dangerous operation
Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available
Possess more than one licence
Drive motor vehicle – perform stunt – excessive speed
Speeding – 50+km/h over the posted speed limit.
The driver received a 90-day driving suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 14-days.
