Redwood Meadows Emergency Services is teeing up a new fundraiser to help rebuild after a devastating fire at the station last year.
The emergency service has announced the inaugural Redwood Meadows Emergency Services Charity Golf Classic, scheduled for Sept. 24 at the Redwood Meadows Golf Club. Proceeds from the tournament will support the #RebuildRMES campaign, a community-led effort to restore and modernize the department’s facilities.
The event will feature an 18-hole Texas Scramble for up to 116 golfers on 29 teams, along with skill contests, on-course activities, a silent auction, banquet dinner, awards presentation and an update on the rebuilding effort.
Fire Chief Rob Evans says the fundraiser is about more than replacing equipment.
“#RebuildRMES is about more than replacing equipment — it’s about strengthening the safety and future of our entire region,” Evans said in a release. “This tournament gives our community a powerful way to come together, have fun, and make a meaningful impact.”
Money raised will go toward replacing firefighting and medical equipment, rebuilding the outbuilding that housed second-due fire trucks, training space and equipment, and strengthening emergency response capacity for Redwood Meadows and surrounding communities.
Despite the loss of infrastructure in the 2025 fire, RMES says it has remained fully operational and has responded to more than 150 calls for service so far this year.
Organizers are also seeking sponsors through a tiered sponsorship program designed for businesses and organizations of all sizes.
Registration is now open at $1,200 per foursome or $300 per individual golfer. The entry fee includes meals, golf carts, welcome packages and access to all skill contests.
