A national education body with a long history

Founded in 1899, the IIC is a not-for-profit organization that sets professional education standards for Canada’s property and casualty insurance industry through 19 volunteer-driven provincial institutes and chapters across the country. It serves more than 41,000 members nationally, including roughly 20,000 students and 18,000-plus graduates of its Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation programs.
