The North Bay area was hit with another significant rainfall event that created multiple flash floods across North Bay.
Streets including Wallace Road, Fisher Street and Lakeshore Drive were reported to be difficult to navigate during Monday’s rain event.
Some residents told BayToday they were unable to reach certain areas with their vehicles due to the high water levels on the streets and were forced to park elsewhere.
At around 9:30 p.m., Environment Canada meteorologists reported they were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts, up to quarter-sized hail and heavy rain in the North Bay-Powassan area.
“Some travel delays are likely. Heavy rain may cause flash flooding and significant reductions to visibility,” Environment Canada stated Monday night.

As of early Tuesday morning, the City of North Bay has not reported any significant damage from Monday’s storm.
However, North Bay Hydro reported a power outage on Campbell Avenue due to a downed tree and downed power lines.
