Festivities for the annual Vancouver Pride celebrations are already underway, ahead of things kicking into high gear this weekend.
And there’s no better way to feel fabulous by Friday than getting the party started on Thursday.
On July 30, the Pride Is Awesome Party is going off at Bayside Lounge from 6 to 10 p.m.
Designed to get you in Pride weekend mode early, the party brings together members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies for an evening of music, drinks, food and connection, with a portion of proceeds supporting Vancouver Pride Society.
$30 ticket includes drinks, drag and DJs
Guests can look forward to photo ops with a local drag star, and a soundtrack of both nostalgic party anthems and house music.
To properly lubricate the party vibe, a $30 ticket also gets you access to complimentary spirits, beer and wine stations.
Three Vancouver DJs — DJ Leanne, DJ G-Luve and DJ Marcella — will keep the dance floor hot throughout the evening, while the venue’s upstairs lounge offers a more relaxed space for conversation and cocktails. Expect Madonna tribute artist Tracey Bell to perform some of the star’s biggest hits.
Attendees will get Pride-themed swag at the door, adding an extra splash of colour to the celebration from the moment you arrive.
