DENTON, Texas – The UNT men’s golf program announced its 2026-27 schedule, a 10-tournament slate that features four events in the fall and six throughout the spring.

“We have added some premier events and increased our strength of schedule this season,” head coach Luke Calcatera said. “UNT now has the opportunity to compete against the best teams in the country all over the country every week.”

North Texas is set to appear at four new tournaments this season, the first of which is its opener at the Island Resort Collegiate on Sept. 6-7 in Harris, Mich. The Mean Green then make their first of two trips to Louisiana for the Argent Financial Classic, where rising sophomore Mitchell Maier placed seventh in his collegiate debut a year ago.

The month of October poses a challenging conclusion to the fall semester with the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and The Clerico in Broken Arrow, Okla. Last year, both tournaments featured participants from every power conference.

To begin the spring schedule, UNT returns to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on Feb. 7-9 to play in the Compadres Collegiate. It finished as the event’s runner-up in 2026, marking the team’s best placement of the season. The Mean Green then head west to The Prestige in La Quinta, Calif., an event that welcomed nine top-50 ranked teams last season.

The spring schedule continues March 8-9 at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La., followed by The All-American in Humble, Texas, a week later.

Once again, North Texas plays host to the Maridoe Collegiate at Maridoe Golf Club on March 30-31. It placed fourth at last year’s rendition, beating a pair of top-16 opponents in the process, and captured the team title back in 2024. That comes roughly two weeks before UNT’s regular season finale at the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Miss.

The American Conference Championship is scheduled for April 26-28 and returns to the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla. Maier put together a standout top-three finish at last year’s tournament while the Mean Green look to punch their first ticket to NCAA Regionals since 2016.
