At a housing announcement in Red Deer, Alta on Wednesday, Prime Minister Mark Carney answered questions on the current trade negotiations with the U.S., saying Canada is in a stronger position now than when the trade war started. Even with looming tariffs slated to take effect in August, Carney said Canada enjoys the “best trade deal in the world right now” with the United States.
