Ottawa police are seeking witnesses and any useful footage after a woman pushing a stroller on an east end pathway was sexually assaulted by a man armed with a knife on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened on a paved pathway in the area of Truro Street and Carpenter Way, just west of the Aviation Parkway, at around 5 p.m., the Ottawa Police Service said in a Wednesday news release.
The man fled the area and is described by police as a white male about 40 years old, with a medium build and a dark beard. He was wearing a black hoodie with front pockets and brown shoulders and sleeves, faded blue jeans and brown tennis-style shoes.
“Detectives are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity or who has dashcam, doorbell, or security camera footage from the area,” the police said in their release.
