Getting around
Calgary Transit
On Monday, Aug. 3, Calgary Transit will be operating buses and CTrains and On Demand on a Sunday level of service. More information on schedules and Customer Service hours over the long weekend can be found on the Calgary Transit website, along with our trip planner.
7 Avenue CTrain closure:
All day Saturday, Aug. 1 to Monday, Aug. 3, the tracks along 7 Avenue S will be closed between City Hall/Bow Valley College Station and 8 Street S.W. Station for scheduled work. CTrain replacement buses will provide service downtown via shuttle stops along 6 Avenue S.W. (westbound) and 9 Avenue S.W. (eastbound).
If you’re taking the Red Line:
transfer to a northbound train from 8 Street S.W. Station (the Red Line trains will change direction here to head back up north)transfer to a southbound train from the south platform of City Hall/Bow Valley College Station.
If you’re taking the Blue Line:
transfer to a westbound train from 7 Street S.W. Stationtransfer to an eastbound train from the north platform of City Hall/Bow Valley College Station.

Calgary Parking
Enjoy free parking in on-street ParkPlus zones on Monday, Aug. 3. Weekend rates apply at all Calgary Parking parkades and surface lots. Please note that regular rates will be in effect at partner lots such as TELUS Spark, the Calgary Stampede, the Jubilee Auditorium, Calgary Zoo and Heritage Park.
The Calgary Parking Contact Centre and Impound Lot will be closed on Monday, Aug. 3. For more information, please visit calgaryparking.com.

July 31 – Aug. 2: 14 Street S.W. at 17 Avenue S.W. – southbound road closure with two-way traffic on northbound lanes of 14 Street S.W.8 Street Project: 8 Street S.W. between 8 Avenue and 10 Avenue S.W. – ongoing southbound road closure.
Northwest
Sunnyside Flood Barrier: ongoing construction impacts along Memorial Drive. Expect major delays.July 31 – Aug. 4: Charleswood Drive N.W. between Chicoutimi Drive N.W. and 24 Street N.W. – full road closure.Aug. 2 – 3: 19 Street N.W. between 25 Avenue and 27 Avenue N.W. – full road closure for paving repair.Aug. 3: Bowness Road N.W. between 62 Street and 66 Street N.W. – full road closure for Tour de Bowness event.

Aug. 1 – 3: McKnight Boulevard N.E. between Centre Street and Edmonton Trail N.E. – eastbound road closure with two-way traffic on westbound lanes.
