A decades-old Labour Day weekend tradition is gearing up to soar over Toronto’s waterfront.
The Canadian International Air Show is running for a full weekend from Sept. 5-7.
The three-day celebration is known as North America’s longest-running air show and will hold its 77th edition in 2026.
“The mission of the Canadian International Air Show is to celebrate aviation by honouring its past and inspiring its future by showcasing the best of aviation both vintage and modern including civilian and military aircraft,” according to the team.
“We continue to focus on producing Canada’s best air show, while educating future generations on the exciting opportunities within the aerospace industry which are inclusive for all.”
Toronto’s Canadian International Air Show 2026
The Canadian International Air Show will take place each day from noon to 3:40 p.m.
This year’s featured performers include the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Canadian Armed Forces’ “most recognized and celebrated icon.” As Canada’s air demonstration team since 1971, 2026 will mark its 55th anniversary. Snowbird pilots fly the Canadair CT-114 Tutor. The 2026 season marks the final demonstration season for the team’s Tutor jets before the squadron is temporarily grounded as it awaits new aircraft to replace the Tutors.
For the first time, the celebration will also showcase the Jack Aces Formation Aerobatic Team to blend “classic warbird power with modern formation flying skills.”
Additional performers include The Pink Jet, a CF-18 Demonstration, Supermarine Spitfire and Hawker Hurricane, along with Mike Tryggvason in an Eagle 540.

The Canadian International Air Show takes place at 1095 Lake Shore Blvd. W., within Marilyn Bell Park in front of the Liberty Grand building and the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE).
“We are surrounded by amazing parks and the exciting exhibits and rides of the CNE,” according to the team.
Tickets to the show can be purchased online and cost $108 for a one-day general admission pass. Tickets also include same day entry into the CNE, running for 18 days from Aug. 21 to Sept. 7.
The celebration also has Skydeck Cruise tickets for $279 to experience the show from the Yankee Lady, a private yacht. Guests will be provided with a gourmet lunch and water, with additional food, alcohol and beverage options also available for purchase.
Canadian National Exhibition
If you’ll be at the CNE during the Canadian International Air Show, it can be seen from some areas within the fair.
Also lovingly known as The Ex, this year’s celebration will feature midway rides, wacky fair food, and a star-studded concert lineup with performances from artists including Lupe Fiasco, Lights, Shaggy, JoJo, Charlotte Day Wilson, Silverstein and more.
The extravaganza will also include the CNE farm, casino and many other attractions and workshops.
