A health-focused fast-food restaurant will open its doors in Belleville this week, offering gluten-free meals designed for customers tracking their nutritional intake.

Konala Protein Bowls and Salads will open July 31 at 11 Franklin Ave. at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Mill Street, according information on the business website. The restaurant specializes in high-protein and macro-friendly meals with allergy-conscious ingredients.

At the heart of the menu are protein bowls and salads. The bowls are designed to provide a balance of proteins, vegetables and healthy fats. Bowls are built around a choice of protein and are loaded with fresh vegetables, hearty grains and sauces.
