Just one stumbling block remains for the comeback of former two-division world champion Zolani Tete, whose four-year doping suspension expired on July 29.

Following a fourth-round knockout victory over Jason Cunningham in 2022, Tete, 29-4 (22 KOs), tested positive for the steroid stanozolol, resulting in the UK Anti-Doping agency issuing him a mandatory four-year ban from boxing.

The knockout over Cunningham was changed to a no-contest, and South Africa’s Tete was stripped of his Commonwealth, IBF International, and WBO International junior-featherweight titles and his suspension officially began on July 30, 2022.
