A woman who took part in mediation with the Ottawa Police Service in 2023 after struggling to report an historical sexual assault says the process left her feeling broken down and blamed, then placated and cast aside. She says she has now again been asked to discuss her concern about the force’s handling of trauma survivors and worries it won’t go well. Kristy Nease reports.
