Calgary rolls into Hamilton fresh off a 52-30 demolition of Winnipeg, and the Stampeders have been must-watch TV all year — they’ve gone over the total in every single game this season, seven for seven. Hamilton is coming off a 18-31 loss to Montreal and has dropped three of its last five, and the Ticats’ defense is banged up at the worst possible time to face this offense.

The Tiger-Cats snuck past Toronto 24-23 two weeks back, so there’s still fight in this group. But shutting down a Calgary attack that just hung 52 on Winnipeg is a different animal, especially with Hamilton’s linebacker corps thinned out.

Players to Watch:

Dedrick Mills (Calgary Stampeders, RB) — 584 yards on 95 carries, and he’s been the engine behind Calgary’s recent scoring explosion.
Clarence Hicks (Calgary Stampeders, DL) — Anchors a front seven that will need to get after Hamilton’s patchwork offensive weapons.
Larry Rountree (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, RB) — 386 yards on the ground; Hamilton needs him to control the clock and keep Calgary’s offense off the field.

Injury Watch:

Tyler Ternowski (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, WR) — Out with a shoulder injury, another hit to an already thin receiving corps.
Quavian White (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, DB) — Out with a hamstring issue, a real problem against this Calgary passing attack.
Shemar Bridges (Hamilton Tiger-Cats, WR) — Questionable with a hip injury.
Eric Rascoe (Calgary Stampeders, LB) — Out with a shoulder injury, now on the six-game injury list.

Pick: Calgary Stampeders 38-27. The Stampeders have covered the number four of their last five games and this offense hasn’t stopped scoring all year — take the over here too, with Hamilton’s secondary down two key bodies.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at Edmonton Elks

This is a rematch of last week’s thriller, when Edmonton escaped Regina with a 36-34 win to extend its winning streak to three. The Elks sit at 6-1, one of only two teams in the league with fewer than two losses, and Cody Fajardo has been steady all season with 2,291 yards and 13 touchdowns against just four picks.

Saskatchewan enters this one banged up along the offensive line and in the backfield — A.J. Ouellette is out with a knee injury, forcing the Riders to lean on Quali Conley, who was just activated off the practice roster. Trevor Harris still has weapons in Kian Schaffer-Baker and KeeSean Johnson, but replicating last week’s 34-point outburst against a healthier Edmonton front will be tough.

Cody Fajardo (Edmonton Elks, QB) — Threw for 2,291 yards and has Edmonton humming at 6-1.
Justin Rankin (Edmonton Elks, RB) — 561 rushing yards and six touchdowns, a load for Saskatchewan’s shorthanded front.
Kian Schaffer-Baker (Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR) — 656 yards and four scores; Saskatchewan needs him to win one-on-ones early.

Injury Watch:

A.J. Ouellette (Saskatchewan Roughriders, RB) — Out with a knee injury, a big loss in the backfield.
Rolan Milligan Jr. (Saskatchewan Roughriders, DB) — Out and now on the six-game injury list, thinning an already stretched secondary.
Nelson Lokombo (Saskatchewan Roughriders, DB) — Out with an ankle injury.
Nick Anderson (Edmonton Elks, LB) — Doubtful with a hamstring issue.

Pick: Edmonton Elks 33-30. Same script as last week’s nail-biter, but Saskatchewan’s secondary is even thinner now with Milligan and Lokombo out, and that tips the edge to Edmonton at home.
