A 29-year-old man laying in the grass of a make-shift parking lot near Veld Festival sustained life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a car.
A man is in life-threatening condition after he was run over and pinned beneath a pickup truck in a makeshift parking lot near Downsview Park during the VELD Music Festival.
Toronto paramedics were flagged down at about 11:30 p.m. Friday night after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck and pinned beneath a pickup truck in a parking area being used by festival attendees.
The adult male was transported to a Toronto trauma centre in critical, life-threatening condition.
Toronto police tell CP24 the driver remained at the scene and is co-operating with investigators.
Police said the investigation is active and ongoing. No information on potential charges has been released.
