The Prairie Football Conference is off until Sunday, August 24th when Week 3 of the season starts and ends with 3 games, including the Saskatoon Hilltops at home to the Winnipeg Rifles. Kick-off time is 1 p.m. at Saskatoon Minor Football Field. The Toppers have 1 win, 1 loss for 2 points…tied for 3rd place. The Winnipeg Rifles have 2 wins, 0 losses for 4 points…tied for 1st place.

The 2025 Canada Summer Games continue today and run through Sunday, August 24th in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Saskatchewan has a full contingent of 377 athletes and 85 coaches taking part in the 19 sports contested in the multi-sport event, representing 92 different communities from across the province. There is action today in Artistic Swimming, Athletics, Women’s Baseball, Men’s Box Lacrosse, Cycling-Mountain Bike, Diving, Golf, Men and Women’s Soccer, and Volleyball. Saskatchewan has 8 medals – 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze – good for 7th place in the provincial standings.
