Irish boxer Lee Reeves was hospitalised after his defeat via knockout in Dublin on Saturday, Queensberry promoter Frank Warren has said.
Reeves was stopped in the 10th round of his super-lightweight bout against compatriot Gary Cully at the 3Arena in the Irish capital, and footage uploaded on YouTube by Queensberry — which ran the event — showed the 31-year-old receiving swift attention from multiple people in the ring, which went on for several minutes.
Warren said in a post on social media platform X on Sunday: “All our thoughts and prayers are with Lee Reeves and his family at this time as he remains in hospital.
“Everyone at Queensberry is thinking of him and we’re in constant contact with his team regarding his condition as we hope for positive news.”

The bout was on the undercard for Pierce O’Leary vs. Mark Chamberlain, and saw Cully, 30, win the BUI Celtic super-lightweight title.
“My prayers and thoughts are with Lee Reeves, hopefully he’s okay,” said Cully after the bout.
“He came in there as a big underdog after fighting relatively at a lower level up until now, but he really showed that he can operate at a higher level. Huge credit to him.”
The defeat was Reeves’ first since 2020, according to Tapology, with a professional record of (16-2-0).
