Provincial police are investigating a homicide in Midland, Ont., after an 18-year-old was shot and killed Friday.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots at an apartment complex on King Street shortly after 8 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Sunday.
Upon arrival, provincial police found a person with gunshot wounds. Tryce James, of Etobicoke, was taken to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

In a post to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, OPP advised the public of a heavy police presence in the area of King Street and Robert Street. Residents were asked avoid the vicinity and follow the instructions of officers at the scene.
