A Mississauga Indian restaurant has been given the green light to reopen following a temporary closure due to a failed health inspection.

Peel Public Health records show Charminar Indian Cuisine located at 5023 Spectrum Way in Mississauga was given a red card during a health inspection on July 31.

The inspection results showed several issues, including a “significant risk” of possible contamination or adulteration.

Did operator maintain and operate food premises free from any condition that is a health hazard? Not In Compliance.

The restaurant was inspected again on Tuesday and the follow-up inspection found “no infractions outstanding.” Charminar was given a green passing grade, Peel Public Health says.

Red cards are issued when an inspector finds a health risk or danger, and the establishment or service is closed until the risks are removed. A yellow conditional pass means the establishment is not following all the requirements under the Health Protection and Promotion Act, and issues that pose a risk of illness must be corrected at the time of inspection.
