Design firm HKS is using Chalkine’s VisiSpecs architectural and engineering software to improve its co-ordination of specifications, to streamline documentation workflows and to support delivery across a diverse project portfolio.
The software allows HKS to integrate its construction specs with building information modelling (BIM) while working within a familiar Microsoft (MS) Word environment. Doc Key Filtering helps create checklists with linked paragraphs and text to automate editing.
“VisiSpecs has helped us improve consistency throughout our specification process,” says Karl Sonnier, principal architect at HKS. “The functionality has made it easier to produce accurate, co-ordinated documents and establish a more efficient workflow across our projects.”
