A fire that damaged multiple vehicles in Westboro Wednesday afternoon also scorched a nearby apartment building, according to Ottawa Fire Services.

Firefighters said they received several calls about the flames just before 2:30 p.m., with initial reports stating more than one vehicle was on fire, according to a news release.

The service confirmed the fire on Whitby Avenue also “extended to the exterior of the building due to the vehicle fire.”
