The Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury is calling for participants and sponsors to join their inaugural Charity Golf Tournament, a fundraising event happening Aug. 15 at the Cedar Green Golf Club, with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
The event follows a Best Ball tournament format with a registration fee of $165 per golfer or $660 per team of four, which covers 18 holes of golf, a cart, driving range access at Timberwolf, personalized scorecards, and a buffet dinner at the Cedar Green Clubhouse.
Participants can also look forward to various contests and prizes, including closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive competitions.
And while a day of golf means a day of fun for participants, for the Down Syndrome Association this event is about more than just golf; it is “an opportunity to bring our community together while raising funds that support programs, advocacy, resources, and meaningful connections for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.”
The sssociation invites everyone to get involved, whether they are experienced golfers, know someone who loves the game, or simply want to support the cause. Each registration includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, entry into contests, prizes, and a celebratory dinner following the tournament.
Beyond registration, the Down Syndrome Association is asking supporters to help spread the word to grow this tournament into an annual tradition.
