IndyCar “will return to Phoenix Raceway for the second straight year,” as the circuit will race on the 1-mile short oval on March 13, 2027, “joining the NASCAR Cup Series for a doubleheader.” Like this year, the 2027 race weekend “will feature an IndyCar race on Saturday and a NASCAR Cup race on Sunday.” This year’s Phoenix doubleheader was “seen as a success from an attendance and viewership perspective, leading IndyCar to want to return to the track,” which NASCAR owns (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 8/5).
