TORONTO — Jamaica has confirmed some 400,000 seats from the Canadian market for the 2026-2027 winter season.
According to The Jamaica Observer, the sizeable lift comes courtesy of extra capacity with Air Canada and WestJet Group including Sunwing Vacations, plus new flights from Porter Airlines.
Porter’s new flights include service to Montego Bay from Toronto (5x weekly starting Nov. 23), Ottawa (2x weekly starting Nov. 25) and Hamilton (2x weekly starting Dec. 20).
Jamaica is aiming for 600,000 arrivals from Canada by 2030.
Jamaica’s post-hurricane recovery saw the island pass the one million mark in Q1 2026.
