Medicine Hat’s Derek Whitson is competing at the 2026 Canadian All Abilities Golf Championship at Hylands Golf Club in Ottawa from Aug. 5-7.
After day one, Whitson sat tied for second place overall after shooting a two-over-par 74 on Wednesday.
Matching his score was Josh Williams from Tavistock, Ont., last year’s champ.
He was three shots off leader Josh Hunke, who carded a one-under-par 71 in his opening round.
