This is about as lopsided as a CFL matchup gets on paper. Ottawa sits at 0-7 and has dropped five straight, while Saskatchewan is riding a Week 9 win over Edmonton and sits third in the West at 5-2. The Riders already beat Ottawa 27-22 back in Week 5 and have won six consecutive home games in this series dating back to 2018 — the last time Ottawa won in Regina, Trevor Harris was actually the guy under center for the Redblacks.

Harris is now 11-4 against his former team and sits just 49 passing yards shy of the 40,000-yard club for his career. Saskatchewan has scored at least 27 points in every game this season and leads the CFL in fewest points allowed at 195. Ottawa, by contrast, has been outscored 247-166 on the year and hasn’t found a way to slow anybody down.

Trevor Harris (Saskatchewan Roughriders, QB) — Chasing 40,000 career passing yards and owns an 11-4 record against Ottawa.
Jake Maier (Ottawa Redblacks, QB) — He’s thrown for 948 yards over his last three starts and carries a 5-3 career mark versus Saskatchewan, but he’ll need a big night to keep this one respectable.
Tommy Stevens (Saskatchewan Roughriders, RB) — Scored three rushing touchdowns last week to push his career total to 38, moving him into the top 50 all-time.

Injury Watch:

Kian Schaffer-Baker (Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR) — Out (six-game injury), a real hit to a Riders passing game that just lost its top target.
Samuel Emilus (Saskatchewan Roughriders, WR) — Questionable (six-game injury), another receiver banged up heading into Friday.
Tevaughn Campbell (Saskatchewan Roughriders, DB) — Out (six-game injury).
Drew Desjarlais (Ottawa Redblacks, OL) — Out, adding to Ottawa’s issues up front.
Scott Hutter (Ottawa Redblacks, DB) — Out.

Pick: Saskatchewan Roughriders 34-20. Ottawa is 22-for-22 on field goals this season, which tells you they can finish drives when they get there — the problem is getting there against a Riders defense that’s been the stingiest in the league. Saskatchewan is 4-2-1 against the spread and Ottawa can’t buy a win anywhere, let alone in Regina.
