Three more NHLers will hit the ice along with Hall of Famers and Mayor Patrick Brown for the fifth installment of the Hockey Night in Brampton charity game.

The annual fundraiser has raised some $56.7 million dollars in past years in support of the Peel Memorial Centre upgrade project, and pro players already announced for this year’s tilt include Toronto Maple Leafs’ Morgan Rielly, Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Erik Gudbranson and Stanley Cup champion Kris Versteeg.

And the city says San Jose Sharks 2025 second overall NHL Draft pick Michael Misa, Anaheim Ducks defenseman Pavel Mintyukov and Ottawa Senators forward Stephen Halliday have been added to the roster, bringing “even more elite talent to this year’s charity game.”

“Every new player announcement adds to the excitement surrounding Hockey Night in Brampton, and we’re thrilled to welcome NHL rising stars Michael Misa, Pavel Mintyukov and Stephen Halliday to this year’s game,” Mayor Brown said in a statement on Friday.

“Their participation reflects the incredible support the hockey community continues to show for building Brampton’s second hospital, and we’re looking forward to another memorable evening that brings fans together for an important cause.”

NHL Hall of Famers Paul Coffey and Mike Modano will be part of the rosters, along with Brampton native and former Maple Leaf Phil Oreskovic, local NHL draft pick Ethan Czata, NHL alums Joe Kocur, Ryan Getzlaf and Cody Hodgson, current NHL stars Dylan Strome and Owen Power, and team coaches Doug Gilmour, Wendel Clark and Gary Roberts.

Last year’s game raised a record $6.7 million, with nearly $21 million donated over the last two years and a historic $50-million pledge toward the hospital project. Plans for the upgrade include a new emergency department, expanded outpatient services, and increased capacity to serve a growing population.

Hockey Night in Brampton was launched in 2019 by Brown and has grown to become Canada’s largest charity hockey game. Funds raised support the William Osler Health System Foundation and the transformation of Peel Memorial into Brampton’s long-awaited second hospital.

The game takes place Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the CAA Centre, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $36.
