Afternoon brush fire in Surrey

A brush fire broke out Saturday (Aug. 8) afternoon just north of the Fraser Highway and east of Harvie Road in the Clayton Heights area of Surrey.
A freelancer for Black Press Media shares that around 30 Surrey Firefighters responded to the large brush fire incident.
The fire was said to have spread quickly to the north and due to the lack of hydrants in this area, crews had to shuttle water to the scene.
Our freelancer shared that there appeared to be no injuries and there currently is no word on the cause of the brush fire.
