A person is dead after a canoe capsized near the Georgian Bay township Saturday night, provincial police say.
Officers responded to Stewart Lake shortly after 8 p.m., Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Sunday.

In Sunday’s release, the OPP reminded boaters and paddlers to make water safety a priority by wearing lifejackets or a personal flotation device, checking weather before heading out on the water and ensuring all required safety equipment is readily available.
