LAS VEGAS — NASCAR fans can begin planning their 2027 travel schedules after Las Vegas Motor Speedway announced dates for its annual spring and fall NASCAR weekends, continuing a tradition that has made the 1.5-mile oval one of the sport’s premier destinations.
The speedway will host the Pennzoil 400 weekend March 19-21 and the South Point 400 weekend Oct. 8-10, bringing NASCAR’s top series back to Southern Nevada twice during the 2027 season.
Since joining the NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 1998, Las Vegas Motor Speedway has grown into one of the sport’s marquee venues, attracting fans from across the country and around the world for racing, entertainment and unique fan experiences.
The spring weekend will feature the Pennzoil 400 NASCAR Cup Series race alongside the LiUNA NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series event, while the fall weekend will be highlighted by the South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series race and an accompanying O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race.
The October event is expected to remain a key stop in NASCAR’s playoff schedule, with championship contenders looking to strengthen their title hopes on one of the circuit’s fastest intermediate tracks.
“We’re excited once again to host two NASCAR race weekends in Las Vegas and continue our tradition of bringing motorsports to the entertainment and sports capital of the world,” Las Vegas Motor Speedway Senior Vice President and General Manager Patrick Lindsey said.
“Each year, these events create unforgettable experiences for our fans, and we look forward to welcoming race fans back to Las Vegas in 2027 for two weekends filled with incredible racing, entertainment and the unmatched atmosphere that makes LVMS a must-visit stop on the NASCAR calendar.”
The announcement reinforces Las Vegas’ standing as one of NASCAR’s top travel destinations. According to speedway officials, last year’s NASCAR weekends attracted fans from all 50 states and 12 countries.
Beyond the racing, Las Vegas Motor Speedway has become known for its expansive fan offerings, including the Neon Garage, driver appearances, campground activities, premium hospitality experiences and entertainment options throughout race weekend.
For many fans, the combination of NASCAR and the Las Vegas entertainment scene has turned the track’s two annual race weekends into destination events.
