Toronto police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 63-year-old woman who was last seen in North York over the weekend.
Police say the missing woman, identified as Ann Marie, was last seen at Eccleston Drive and Swift Drive, near Eglinton Avenue E. and Bermondsey Road, at 5:53 p.m. Saturday.
In a news release issued Monday, police described her as five feet seven inches tall with a slim build and shoulder-length blonde hair.
Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Duty Insp. Jon Rose said Ann Marie is known to take walks in the area she was last seen.
She has brown eyes, speaks with a Scottish accent, and was last seen wearing a white top, black pants, reading glasses and brown running shoes, Rose said.
Police are asking people who may have been in the area to review their dashcam footage and for local residents to check their sheds and garages. Anyone with information is being asked to contact police.
Rose said the search for Ann Marie has been elevated to a Level 1 search, which means police can deploy resources such as drones, canine and mounted units.
