A 34-year-old Brampton man has been arrested following a Guelph Police Service investigation into cocaine trafficking.
Guelph police said in a news release that the Drug Enforcement Unit began investigating earlier this summer. The man was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. Monday as he exited his vehicle in an east-end parking lot.
Search warrants were later executed on the vehicle and a Brampton residence. Officers seized approximately $3,300 worth of cocaine, more than $1,700 in cash, a digital scale and drug packaging.
The accused is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 3.
