A Mississauga restaurant was forced to shut down following a recent health inspection.
Daal Roti Indian Tadka House, located at 6990 Financial Dr, was inspected and closed on Monday, August 10.
The report from Peel Public Health alleges that the restaurant did not properly store food to prevent contamination and/or adulteration, and did not take adequate measures to prevent pests, among other health violations.
The restaurant is closed and may reopen after passing a follow-up inspection.
This is the only red card on the restaurant’s public record, which shows inspections going back to December 2024.
Red cards are issued when an inspector finds a health risk or danger, and the establishment or service is closed until the risks are removed. A yellow conditional pass means the establishment is not following all the requirements under the Health Protection and Promotion Act, and issues that pose a risk of illness must be corrected at the time of inspection.
