That was when a third vehicle collided a “short time later” with one of the vehicles on the side of the road and pushed it into two people – one of the drivers and a child passenger – who had exited their ride.

The two — a 12-year-old and a 43-year-old, both from the United States — were rushed to a hospital with critical injuries, while a third person was hospitalized with minor wounds.

Police said the driver of the third vehicle was uninjured.

The OPP said the Mississauga Detachment is investigating the crash and that all westbound lanes of the 403 will be closed until about 10:30 p.m.
