A soccer player from Medicine Hat will represent Canada internationally.
Jessica Garcia has been named as one of the midfielders for Team Canada at the IFA7 Super Cup, taking place in Lima, Peru, from Nov. 4 to 8, 2026.
The event is a Football 7 competition, and each team will field seven players instead of the standard 11.
Team Canada includes 15 players from Alberta, British Columbia and Yukon.
