Asked what the Government of Ontario would like from the U.S. as trade talks continue, provincial Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy said Friday he would want a “good deal that supports the industries that have been impacted by unjustified tariffs,” adding that alcohol “remains a tool” of leverage for Canada and that the Ford government is “resolute in [its] belief that they [U.S. alcohol products] should remain off the shelves” until a fair deal is established.
