Five-time major winner Brooks Koepka finished outside the top-70 in the FedExCup rankings. His “pathetic” season couldn’t guarantee him a spot in the FedExCup playoffs.

Koepka failed to make it into the top 70 of the FedExCup rankings. As a result, he missed out on the FedEx St. Jude Championship and was left extremely frustrated.

“I think it’s pretty pathetic that I can’t get through,” Koepka explained to the reporters. “[I’ve had] zero top 10s basically in two years. To be in the prime of your career and be as good as I think I am, I think that’s very pathetic, disappointing. I definitely need to go home and completely reevaluate everything.”

It must have slipped his mind, but Koepka did make it into the top-10 once this season. It came at the Cognizant Classic where he finished tied for ninth.

Five missed cuts and just six top-20 finishes tell the story of a season that never gained traction.

Before shifting to LIV, Koepka was a formidable contender on the PGA Tour. He had racked up eight wins on the Tour, including four major titles.

Yet Koepka’s frustration with results didn’t dampen his overall mood about returning to the American circuit.

“It’s been great,” Koepka said to the reporters, as per Lisa Antonucci of the PGA Tour. “Honestly, I’ve loved it. I feel fantastic. The reception’s been great. Overall, happiness is 10 out of 10 and just excited.” 

Koepka will already be preparing for the vital 2027 season that could eventually decide whether he makes it into the Championship Series of 2028.

PGA Tour veteran Keegan Bradley also voiced his frustration after missing out on the FedExCup playoffs.

Keegan Bradley’s Streak Ends

2011 PGA Championship winner Keegan Bradley also couldn’t qualify for the FedExCup playoffs. It brought an incredible streak to an end.

“Yeah, it was a tough year. It was a tough – it’s been a tough, like, year and a half,” Bradley said, as per Golf Channel. “I’m looking forward to getting home and resetting and coming out next year a little fresher maybe. I got off to such a terrible start this year. Next year hopefully will be better.” 

Bradley missed three of his first five cuts in 2026, and his best finish was T12 that came at the RBC Heritage in April.

After last week’s Wyndham Championship, Bradley finished 74th in the rankings. That ended his run of 15 consecutive appearances in the playoffs.
