More than 50 people were at a Gospel outreach event in Downtown Winnipeg on Saturday afternoon.

Eight different Redeemed Christian Church of God parishes collaborated for their Zonal Outreach event, ‘Jesus’s Love’, at The Cube in Old Market Square.

The parishes included Solution Sanctuary, Dominion Sanctuary, Throne of Grace, Liberty Chapel, New Breed Church, Kingdom Chapel, Salvation Centres, and Triumphant Centre.

Praise, worship, prayer, and a sermon filled the open space with congregants evangelizing to members of the community.

There was free food for attendees and the community at large to enjoy.

The event was hosted to unite the different congregations in fulfilling the Great Commission.

Event organizers emphasize say that is important to be beacons of Christ’s love to those around us.

“We’re meant to shine the light of Christ, in this city, we see that this is a place that really requires the light of Christ to shine,” says New Breed Church Pastor, Constance Amadi.

Amadi says preaching the Gospel could sow an unexpected seed. “We felt this would be a good time to bring this love and light of Christ out to those who might never have heard about Jesus.”
