CF Montréal has banned two fans and suspended benefits for one of its supporter sections following a Major League Soccer investigation into reports that Montreal fans yelled antisemitic abuse at Israeli forward Dor Turgeman.
CF Montréal said at the time that it was taking the allegations “very seriously” and would work with the league and the Revolution to establish the facts.
In a statement on Saturday, the club said it had “issued indefinite bans to two individuals for throwing objects and violating the MLS Fan Code of Conduct.”
It added that “all official supporter group privileges will be suspended for the August 15 match against D.C. United, and privileges for the supporter section identified during the investigation will be suspended indefinitely.
“The Club will continue efforts to identify any additional individuals involved, and any person found to have participated in the antisemitic chants, or discriminatory behavior of any kind, will be permanently banned from Club events.”
“Antisemitism, racism and hate of any kind have no place at CF Montréal, Stade Saputo or within our community,” the club said. “We sincerely apologize to the entire New England organization and all those impacted by this unacceptable conduct.”

The club also said that it had met with local Jewish community organizations and would expand education and awareness efforts inside Stade Saputo, engage directly with supporters and strengthen security measures.
“Hate speech does not impact just one player or one individual,” the club said. “Its harm extends to teammates, supporters, families, employees and the broader community.”
MLS previously banned Israeli and Palestinian flags from its stadiums after the Hamas’ attack on Israel in Oct. 2023, though exceptions are permitted when an Israeli or Palestinian player is on one of the teams’ rosters.
