Muskoka’s got a friend in Jimmy Fallon.

The Tonight Show host heaped praise on the heart of Ontario’s cottage country, calling it “the most beautiful place on Earth,” during a recent interview on his show.
Fallon made the remarks during an interview with actress Ella Rubin, who was on to promote her new Prime Video show Sterling Point, about a teenager who inherits her grandfather’s island in Muskoka, where the series was filmed.
“Right now I’m team Muskoka and team Annie — I know that’s like a cop-out but I’m team ‘what’s best for Annie’ and I think Muskoka is best,” Rubin said.
“I think Muskoka’s gorgeous,” Fallon replied.
“It’s beautiful, have you been?” Rubin asked.
Fallon then calls Muskoka, “The most beautiful place on Earth.”
“I can’t believe we got to film there. It’s incredible,” Rubin said.
Retreat for Hollywood’s elite
Often called the “Hamptons of the North,” Muskoka has long attracted some of Hollywood’s biggest names. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn are one of the most well-known part-time Muskoka residents, with a cottage on Lake Rousseau and the couple has frequently been seen shopping in Gravenhurst. Hawn’s daughter, Kate Hudson, also frequents the region.
Tom Hanks reportedly followed Russell and Hawn up to Muskoka and owns a cottage there. Director Steven Spielberg has also been seen around the region, as well as Cindy Crawford.
Canadian stars
Martin Short is a longtime owner of a cottage on Lake Rousseau, and has been vocal about how much he likes it there. NHL star Connor McDavid owns a luxury cottage, where he has reportedly held family celebrations.
