Mini Mathur emerged as the winner of the OTT reality show Alliance. In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, the actor and television presenter opened up about her journey on the show and the emotional moment when she reunited with her family during the competition.Talking about meeting her family on Alliance, Mini revealed that she had consciously kept thoughts about home and her loved ones aside while competing. She explained that once she becomes focused on something, she tends to disconnect from everything else.“I was in the game, keeping my emotions all shut down, not thinking of home, kids and husband. When I lock into something, I really disconnect. I stop worrying about what is happening elsewhere. I have always worked like that,” she said.However, seeing her family during the show made Mini realise just how much she had missed them. The reunion became particularly emotional for her as her daughter was preparing to leave for college.“Seeing them just made me vulnerable and emotional and made me realise what I was missing out on. My daughter is going to college this week, and she’ll be away for four years. So, after seeing her, I felt that I had missed out on six weeks of time with her and all of that,” Mini shared.Mini admitted that she is deeply attached to her family, making their presence during the competition even more meaningful. Despite being completely immersed in the game, the reunion brought her emotions to the surface and gave her a much-needed boost.“But yes, I am very emotional about my family. I’m very attached to them. So, I treated it like a shot in the arm when they came, and I’m glad the viewers could also see that,” she concluded.Mini’s emotional reunion with her family offered viewers a glimpse of the personal side she had kept aside while navigating the challenges of Alliance. While she remained focused on the competition, the moment reminded her of the people and moments she had temporarily put on hold to give the game her all.
