Environment Canada has ended its severe thunderstorm warnings for several areas in and around Ottawa Wednesday evening.
The warnings were yellow, the least severe of the weather service’s three-colour scale.
Warnings were previously issued for Ottawa North, Kanata, Orléans, Ottawa South, Richmond and Metcalfe areas.
Prescott, Russell, Winchester and Newington also had yellow severe thunderstorm warnings, according to Environment Canada.
“Strong wind gusts, up to quarter size hail and heavy rain are possible,” the agency said at the time of the warnings.
