There was a large emergency response to a house fire in Mississauga overnight.
Peel Regional Police said emergency crews were called to the scene at 1:05 a.m. on Monday.
It happened on Gardenview Crescent, which is near Winston Churchill Boulevard and Thomas Street in the city’s west end.
Police said occupants of the home were evacuated and neighbouring residences were also evacuated as a precaution.
The fire appeared to be contained to one home, however.
One person was taken to a hospital with minor smoke inhalation.
Police said there was a “large deployment” of Mississauga firefighters and roads were closed in the area as crews responded.
