Friday’s forecast calls for sunny and clear skies with periods of fog possible in the Greater Toronto Area and southern Ontario.

Environment and Climate Change Canada says the morning is expected to bring sunny conditions with a high of 26 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Oshawa and the Niagara area.

The humidity could make temperatures feel more like 27 C in Mississauga and Toronto, and 30 C in Hamilton and Niagara Falls. The seasonal normal for this time of year is between 13 C and 24 C in Mississauga.

The UV index will be 7 or “high,” the weather agency says.

Friday night is expected to be clear, with skies becoming partly cloudy after midnight. There’s a chance of fog patches developing overnight, and the low will be around 16 C in Mississauga.

Looking ahead to the weekend weather, a mix of sun and cloud is expected on Saturday with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of around 25 to 26 C in Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, Niagara and Durham Region.

The Weather Network is forecasting a risk of thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon and into the evening for the GTA.

Sunday could bring more showers with a 70 per cent chance during the day and cooler conditions with a high of around 20 C. The Weather Network says it will be partly sunny in the morning, followed by cloudy conditions in the afternoon and an 80 per cent chance of rain.

Monday is expected to be cloudy in Mississauga with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 22 C.
